If you’re considering a garden room and want to know whether it’s a good investment or not, check out this link from Rightmove.

According to their report, buyers looking for an ‘office’, ‘workspace’ or ‘working from home’ space was up 326% in a year!!

Obviously the pandemic has brought home the realisation that a home with extra living space for an office is vitally important. With the latest government advice to work from home, this trend looks like it’s here to stay.

So, is a garden room a cost or an investment? Much depends on your circumstances and of course your use. However, one thing is for sure – whether a home office, a snug, a gym or a games room, a garden room will add value to your property.

Based on feedback from a local estate agent in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire, they predict that a garden room can add anywhere between £23,000.00 to £45,000.00 to a 3/4 bedroom house in the area. Further afield in some areas of Cuffley, Hertford and St Albans, this added value rises up to £100,000.00 for a large, high-spec multi-purpose room.
