It's all about the BASE...

One of the first questions we get asked is "what foundations are required for a garden room?".

The short answer is, it depends!

Your soil type, location of the garden room and any gradient will determine which base we use for your garden room.

This is because not all of the solutions below are perfect for every instance.

In some cases, we need to be mindful of protected trees and their roots. In other instances, the ground may be heavy clay or have a high water table.

We have also come across instances where the ground is highly suitable for plinths.
